Professor Clara Chow AM is an internationally recognised cardiologist and Academic Director of the Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC) at the University of Sydney. She is a Clinical Academic Cardiologist at Westmead Hospital and Centre Director of the Australian Stroke and Heart Research Accelerator (ASHRA). Her work bridges clinical practice, implementation science, digital health innovation, and large‑scale global research collaborations.
Professor Chow’s leadership extends across health systems and national committees through board roles with the Western Sydney Local Health District and the National Heart Foundation of Australia. Her contributions to cardiovascular research have been acknowledged through major honours, including the 2025 ACvA Translation Award, the Telstra Brilliant Woman in Digital Health Award, and election as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
