Professor Reema Harrison

Professor Reema Harrison is an internationally recognised expert in health systems, patient safety, and equity. She serves as Professor of Health Systems and Safety at Macquarie University and Chief Scientist and Research Director at the Ingham Institute of Applied Medical Research. Over the past 20 years, she has led more than 70 research projects that have improved healthcare quality and access, particularly for culturally diverse communities and people with complex care needs. Her work has influenced policy and practice nationally, driving meaningful improvements in patient outcomes. She is a passionate mentor and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
