Professor Wei Chua

Professor Wei Chua is Senior Staff Specialist and current Director of Medical Oncology at Liverpool Hospital and was appointed Professor of Oncology and Cancer Care at Western Sydney University in 2020. Her research interests include translational research in predicting treatment response and adverse events and improving equity and access for cancer patients. She chairs the Steering Committee for the Australian Centre for Cancer Equity (AcCE) which aims to pioneer transformative research to address and eliminate disparities in cancer outcomes. She was Director of Clinical Trials for Medical Oncology at Liverpool Hospital for over 10 years, which was awarded the CINSW Outstanding Clinical Trials Unit in 2025, overseeing a significant clinical trials portfolio and expansion of the medical oncology clinical trials unit.
