Ronda Thompson is the Lead Community Activator for the Pasifika Preventing Diabetes Programme (PPDP) and a Research Assistant at Western Sydney University. She works at the intersection of community and research, embedding culturally meaningful, community-led approaches within university research. Through trusted partnerships with Pasifika churches and communities, Ronda plays a vital role in bringing together communities, health services, and researchers to co-design initiatives that strengthen diabetes prevention, improve health and wellbeing, and empower communities to lead lasting change across Greater Western Sydney.
