The 2020 Health Beyond Research and Innovation Showcase will celebrate a special theme “dedicated to discovery – committed to care’’ and put the spotlight on south western Sydney as a hub of innovation and medical advancement. The premier event on 3 and 4 June at the William Inglis Hotel, Warwick Farm, highlights the fantastic research leading the world right here in south western Sydney.
The Health Beyond Research & Innovation Showcase brings together allied health professionals, nurses, doctors and researchers from South Western Sydney to present their work across disciplines including health service research, cancer, community health, clinical medicine, biomedical research, mental health and others. Presentations will cover programs currently underway at the Ingham Institute and the South Western Sydney Local Health District; in conjunction with our valued partners UNSW Australia and Western Sydney University.
This year’s Showcase, themed “Dedicated to Discovery, Committed to Care”, will deliver insights into healthcare ethics, the physical and psychological manifestations of trauma, and the value of resilience in pursuit of personal and professional growth. The event will explore the diverse environmental, health, research and education landscape in South Western Sydney and, in that context, will proffer evidence for improving the healthcare journey and health outcomes of our communities, both locally and beyond.
