Zaidon is a consultant cardiologist at Campbelltown Hospital where he founded the Medical Intelligence, Innovation and Data Science (MINDS) Hub to facilitate in-hospital collaboration non-clinical AI academics and the industry. He is a founding member of the international Medical Intelligence Society, and has convened multiple medical AI meetings and courses with international leaders, including the American Board of AI in Medicine in Australia and named a finalist for the AI-Med 2023 AI Clinical Leader Champion of the year Orlando, Florida. His main academic interest is cardiovascular prevention, he authored the chapter “Intelligence Based Cardiovascular Prevention” in the first textbook of AI in Cardiology, “Intelligence Based Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery” published by Elsevier. Currently he is undertaking a PhD at the University of Sydney leading the MRFF/MTPConnect funded study “The Heart Watch Study”, the first study which examines the feasibility of using smartwatches to record a fully diagnostic 12-lead ECG in asymptomatic individuals in the community and use Advanced ECG algorithms to detect subclinical cardiovascular disease.
