Hyllus is a proud Yorta Yorta / Kamilaroi woman who has resided in Liverpool for the past 40 years. Hyllus has worked in SWSLHD for the past 9 years as a Workforce Educator in the District’s Centre for Education and Workforce Development, responsible for delivering the Ministry of Health’s mandatory cultural training program, Respecting the Difference. Before coming to SWSLHD she has worked in a variety of government and non-government agencies, from the community sector through to the university sector. This also included a variety of positions – typist, receptionist, telephone sales advisor, community worker, project officer, lecturer, researcher and now a workforce educator. She joins us today to present an Acknowledgement of Country.
