Steve Frost has been employed as a Registered Nurse by South-Western-Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) since 1994, following an initial new-graduate year, he has been working in the intensive care setting for the last 27-years. Steve has been a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Intensive Care. Steve has a post-graduate certificate in intensive care nursing from Liverpool Hospital, a Master of Public Health, and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of New South Wales. Steve undertook his doctoral studies with the Bone and Osteoporosis group at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, focusing on the Dubbo Osteoporosis Epidemiological Study. He has been recognised as one of the top 2% of nursing scientists world-wide and has been recently appointed a Professorial Fellow in the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health at the University of Wollongong.
