Steve Frost is Professor of Nursing in South Western Sydney Local Health District and Professorial Fellow in the School of Nursing, Faculty of Science, Medicine, and Health at the University of Wollongong. He began his career in SWSLHD as a new graduate Registered Nurse in 1994 and worked in intensive care for 28 years, having been both a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Nurse Consultant. He completed his PhD with the Bone and Osteoporosis group at the Garvan Institute and is ranked among the top 2% of nursing scientists globally. His research focuses on delirium, frailty, hospital-acquired complications, and post-fracture care. Steve co-leads SPHERE’s Musculoskeletal Clinical Academic Group and the SWSLHD’s Critical Care Academic Unit and leads the Critical Care in Collaboration and Evidence Translation group. He also serves on the SWSLHD and Bellberry Human Research Ethics Committees.
