Prof Wei Chua is Director of Medical Oncology at Liverpool Hospital and was appointed Professor of Oncology and Cancer Care at Western Sydney University in 2020. Her research interests include translational research in predicting treatment response and adverse events and improving equity and access for cancer patients in southwest Sydney. She chairs the Steering Committee for the Australian Cantre for Cancer Equity (AcCE) which aims to pioneer transformative research to address and eliminate disparities in cancer outcomes. She was Director of Clinical Trials for Medical Oncology at Liverpool Hospital for over 10 years overseeing a significant clinical trials portfolio and expansion of the medical oncology clinical trials unit. She is also recognised for her dedication to clinical and research supervision and her mentorship of junior medical staff in SWSLHD.
